Day Four with my Tablet PC... Acer is Sick
I have good news and bad news. The good news is Acer's problems are not operator malfunction. The bad news is poor Acer is sick! She went to the doctor and Dr. Tablet does not know what is wrong.
Seriously, I met with some terrific people from the Microsoft Tablet PC team and after more than an hour working on my tablet they could not figure out what was wrong. Chris Barry and Julius S. both work for Microsoft and they were wonderful and so very helpful. They suggested that I uninstall the Tablet Pack and do a fresh download and reinstall. If that doesn't work the next indicated step is to do a system restore to before I installed Office XP and then reinstall. As a last resort, one man on the team suggested I do a restore to factory settings. I really don't want to do that!
Poor Acer---I hope she feels better by tomorrow. I've been so worried--I hope I get some sleep and don't worry too much about her. I need to take care of Acer now so more later.
