Notes:

  1. Hard Disk - higher ATA speed is faster.

  2. 24 bit color is TrueColor (16 million colors) 16 bit is high color (65535 colors).

  3. Units without keyboards are Slates, Units with keyboards are Convertibles.

  4. PIII - Intel Pentium III - Uses SpeedStep technology to reduce the cpu speed when running on battery to maximize battery life.  So relying on the CPU speed alone is not what you will experience when you are running on batteries.  See Intel's Mobile Pentium III Processors Intel SpeedStep™ Technology and Intel's Mobile Pentium III Processors Enhanced Intel SpeedStep™ Technology.

  5. Transmeta Crusoe - Uses some internal ram (approximately 10 MB) to translate instructions into x86 format.  Generally they operate slower than the clock speed when compared to the PIII.  Uses Long Run technology to operate at a variety of different CPU speeds based on the demands of the system to maximize battery life.  See Transmeta's Marketing of Megahertz.

  6. For all battery life calculations, you usage may vary significantly from the specifications provided above.  The battery life test results may be based on running the CPU at a slower speed, shutting off the hard drive, and dimming the display.

  7. All Wacom based digitizers use pens that are compatible with each other for the basic functionality.

See Microsoft's Windows XP Tablet PC Edition Specifications for details.
