Acer’s Second Generation TravelMate C110 Combines Breakthrough Performance and Connectivity with Convertible Design
SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 5, 2003) – Acer America Corporation, the leading worldwide supplier of Tablet PCs, today announced the first commercially available convertible Tablet PC featuring wireless IntelÒ CentrinoÔ mobile technology, the TravelMate C110. The second-generation TravelMate C110 continues Acer’s legacy of providing leading-edge solutions to end-users who demand the freedom to work anytime and anywhere. The TravelMate C110 delivers breakthrough performance and best-in-class connectivity options while being the smallest and lightest convertible Tablet PC available.

Representing Intel’s best technology for mobile PCs, Intel Centrino mobile technology includes an ultra low voltage Intel® Pentium® M, Intel® 855 chipsets and 802.11 wireless network functions that have been optimized, tested and validated to work together. In addition to wireless communications, Intel Centrino mobile technology includes features designed to enable extended battery life, thinner and lighter designs, and outstanding mobile performance.

Robust Performance, Small Package
Offering an unprecedented set of features, including 900 MHz clock speeds and built-in wireless connectivity, the TravelMate C110 updates Acer’s award-winning convertible design that allows the unit to be used in either conventional notebook mode with keyboard or tablet mode with the provided stylus. The integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b LAN support allows users to connect to widely available wireless networks, while Bluetooth wireless connectivity is provided for the new generation of printers, cell phones, and other peripherals.
The Acer TravelMate C110 offers a brilliant 10.4” XGA display, up to 1 GB of DDR 266 SDRAM, and an Intel integrated graphics chipset for outstanding multimedia performance. In addition to wireless 802.11b and Bluetooth support, the TravelMate offers 2 USB 2.0 ports, an IEEE 1394 port, 10/100 LAN connection, and a 56K V.92 modem.
This convertible Acer Tablet incorporates up to a 60 GB ATA/100 removable hard drive and a hot swappable media bay, enabling users to access data on a variety of media including a DVD/CDRW or DVD-R, as well as enabling the insertion of a second battery for maximum efficiency. Preloaded with Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition operating system and weighing just 3.2 pounds, the TravelMate C110 provides the freedom and flexibility mobile users demand.

The Acer TravelMate C110 series is available through Acer authorized resellers throughout North America with prices starting at $1899.
