Day Two with my Tablet PC
Okay, this is getting cool. Today, I managed to connect to the Internet and see what other programs there are out there in Internet land. I downloaded a Tic Tac Toe game and had a blast. Good practice using the pen, also.
I had a lot of pictures I had taken at the launch and in New York and wanted to put them on the Tablet. I had burned a CD so I could use the CD-ROM that came with the Tablet. After I connected the CD-Rom, I couldn’t get it to work. I had plugged it in and connected it properly—but it does help if you turn it on. It never occurred to me that it had an on-off switch! The CD-Rom connected via USB and it is definitely slower than a built in CD-ROM drive. The one thing I think would have been an improvement is if it charged from the USB port. My Pocket PC can so I would think the CD-ROM could also. Also, I can’t burn CDs with this so I’ll probably invest in a different drive in the near future.
I can’t wait to get Office XP and install it. I have already downloaded the Tablet Pack in anticipation of trying out all of the features. I’m attending Comdex this next week and I’m anxious to see what other items are out there for my new toy. I’m off to practicing my writing, so. . .
